Key Switches

Key operated switches are designed for use in applications where access to electrical systems or equipment is restricted. There are many possible applications for key switches i.e. secure door access, control of security systems, access to restricted areas, automatic door system override, on off control etc.
Types of key switch include, surface mounted, flush mounted, panel mounted with standard, or high security locks and miniature multi position.

The surface mounted key switch is housed in a rugged tamper proof Polycarbonate moulding with a gloss white finish.
There are 3,000 key combinations and each lock is supplied with 3 keys. The key lock has two operating positions with a 90° index.
Variants include keying alike, master keying between several units, spring return on the key for momentary operation and up to two LED indicators to provide confirmation of key switch status.
The key switch meets BS EN 50131-1-2006 Grade 2 Class II
The maximum electrical ratings for the SPCO switch are 3A 50Vdc and for the tamper contacts 1A 25Vdc.

Flush mounted key switches have a 1.2mm brushed stainless steel front plate, enabling a discreet installation to be achieved.
There are two lock variants, the standard with a flat key or the higher security radial key. Each lock has two positions with a 90⁰ index. As standard the key is removable in both positions. Three keys are supplied with the standard lock and two keys with the radial pin lock.
The maximum electrical ratings for the DPCO switch are 4A 250Vac or 10A 12Vdc.

Panel mounted key switches fit into a 19mm mounting hole and are easily incorporated into equipment or panels.

There are 200 key combinations. Each lock has either two or four positions, with a 90⁰ index. Two keys are supplied with each lock.
The maximum electrical ratings for the two position 1P2W 90⁰ and the four position IP4W 360⁰ switch are 1A 50Vdc.
